The Year in Reviews
Shockingly, it has been just over a year since I’ve started Stuffed Ashes, so I’d like to commemorate with my favourite reviews, including the bad and good ones I feel most strongly about. Basically, the ones that you should really read, because you’ll either be surprised, laugh, or learn to stay away from those products or services. There are a lot of links on here, but I couldn’t help it, there are way too many categories.

A tool that many people use, and more should be using is a Tide to Go stick. I’m very clumsy so I need this little handy stick in every purse and desk.
If you don’t have a good picture database on your computer, then you’ll love Google’s free Picasa. It provides excellent organization and even matches people by their faces, and groups them together. You want to see all the pictures with your best friend in them? Picasa does that. It’s very fun to play with.
Star Gate Universe – Watch it please, I need it to keep playing. Thanks.
Thrifty Trendy clothes while you purchase your lettuce? Joe Fresh

The worst razor blades for women.Venus SPA Breeze. I ran out of my good Venus Embrace blades this week, and since last August, I still had some Venus Spa Breeze blades at home. Well, if they didn’t take out not one, but TWO chunks of my right knee this week, I’d be much happier. OUCH! I should have just gone to the store for more Embrace ones.
Watch out with certain Face Cleansing Pads, and do not buy into Garnier’s anti-fatigue skin care line; especially for your eyes. Garnier Retritioniste Skin Renew does not work.
The Tresemme Naturals line of shampoos and conditioners are simply the best and are sold at amazing prices. I haven’t switched back to anything else since I’ve first tried them. My hair is still very silky and smooth.
The smooth hair is also greatly attributed to my favourite product, Moroccan Oil.
Use Resolve on all of your bad carpet stains. This stuff is very tough and most importantly, it works. You should also make sure to try Bar Keeper’s Friend on your ceramic stove tops. It’s cheaper than the actual ceramic top cleaners, and is easier to use.
On the topic of cooking, you should definitely try GreenPan’s OvenWare. It heats your food quicker, is completely non-stick, and is made of a much safer material that doesn’t release toxins into your food, or the chocolate chip cookies of the year. That recipe knocked off our sweet-tooths and taste buds!
My favourite kichen gadget is by far the Scanpan Spectrum knives. I love Scandinavian products. I’ve since purchased a second one, and had my mom buy one too.If you’re visiting or live in Ottawa, make sure you don’t go and eat at either Casey’s, Su Casa, or Willie & Juan’s, but definitely check out Pancho Villa and Fraser Café. I will also reiterate that the hot pepper cream cheese from Kettleman’s is to live for!
A Fine Frenzy makes quality music albums, as seen in her CDs, One Cell in the Sea, and A Bomb in a Birdcage.

I Loved Avatar, and hated Alice in Wonderland which I’d each watched in 3D.
My favourite board game out of the ones I’ve reviewed is Balloon Cup. A close second is Ticket to Ride.
My favourites posts are always my brand wars. They take more effort, but the comparison aspect makes them much more fun. Of them, my favourites are on Energy Drinks, and mascara.
That about sums it up! I’m really looking forward to another year of reviewing random things for you all.
