Review of Grooveshark
Grooveshark is an internationally available Internet-based free music provider. You can listen to full albums of streaming music for free simply by performing a search for your favourite artist or song.
The website is very user-friendly, and you don’t need to download anything in order to use their service. You can create and save as many playlists as you like if you create a free user account.
You can even steal your friend’s playlists if you know their usernames.
I like it especially for the office, because I get tired of the music I bring in, so like this, I can continue to be entertained while working by listening to brand new music.
I highly recommend this website, especially if you can listen to music at work, and have access to the Internet. It’s wonderful, and it’s free! There are no lags, you’d think you were listening to the CDs themselves.
For more information about Grooveshark, check out their wiki page here.
You can look up my playlists under username ‘stuffedashes’.
Enjoy!

You just provided me with the information I needed! It’s been a while I’ve been looking for a service like this (ever since they made you pay for stuff at last.fm). Thanks for the review!

Grooveshark is not copyright compliant and opens users up to the prospect of action by the RIAA and other rights holders.
For a legitimate streaming music service, besides last.fm or spotify, why not try Psonar, audiobox.fm or tunesBag.

Well here in Canada we don’t have to be held personally responsible for those things. I appologize to my American friends who have silly laws. I see that you are from Psonar, Martin. I am willing to check it out.

Thanks so much for the positive review! Shoot me an email at jack at grooveshark dot com and I will send you a little something on behalf of the team.
Also, in the interest of not slandering other companies in a public forum like this, please also check out Martin Rigby’s (commented above) music streaming service Psonar. It’s a really cool concept and they’re doing some great things over there. Anything that keeps music going!
Thanks again!
