Review of Cheemo Perogies

Cheemo is a brand of perogies that’s sold at Walmart here in Canada. First off, I’ll pretty much eat any kind of perogies, but these ones are my favourite as they’re the best bang for your buck.

The Cheemo perogies are packaged in a box rather than a plastic bag (not that this makes them better, just an observation), but the perogies themselves are much tidier, as in they don’t break apart at all when you boil and fry them.

They come in numerous flavours, too! Potato & Cheddar Cheese, Potato & Cottage Cheese, Potato & Onion, Roasted Garlic & Herb, Three Cheese Perogy, Bacon & Romano Cheese, Spinach & Feta Cheese, Sour Cream & Chives, and Pizza Perogy.

I recently bought the multi-pack which comes with 4 different kinds. They are all excellent, and I highly recommend them. If you’ve never eaten a perogie, they look like a dumpling, but are made with a different dough. On the inside is mashed potato, typically mixed with another ingredient. You can boil them, fry them, or even bake them. They make a great snack, side dish, or full meal.

I usually dip mine in sour cream with Cajun spice, but also use many other dips for variety and because I’m a condiments lover.
