Review of Scanpan Spectrum knives

Okay, so I bought the Scanpan Spectrum knife because a), it was fluorescent green, and b), it was from Denmark. For some reason, I tend to associate anything from Scandinavian countries with quality. That, and tall blond people with sexy accents.

This knife’s blade is also coloured which makes it different. It also came in  orange, and yellow. The green one called out to me.

I bought the knife at a store called The Zone, in Ottawa. After some digging online, I saw that it also comes in three other bight bold colours(see pic). The knife measures 12 centimeters.

This knife is super sharp and it works terrifically. It comes with a blade protector so that it doesn’t get dull from mixing with your other utensils.

I love using this knife to cut fruits and veggies, but also use it on cheese, chocolate, and whatever else I deem worthy of being cut by it. Yes, I like it this much. I still don’t want it to go in the dishwasher, even though it says it is dishwasher safe.

The knives are made of high carbon stainless steel and feature a non-stick coating. They’re also really lightweight.

I’d say they’d make a perfect gift for anyone who likes to cook. They aren’t that expensive either; from what I remember, the knife was around 8 dollars. (Don’t quote me on that)

I’m thinking I’d like to head back downtown to buy a few more.
