Review of Similasan Eye Drops
I regularly get dry eyes for a combination of two reasons. One, I get insomnia and am often sleep deprived, so my eyes are often very tired and dry. Two, I have allergies to numerous things, and my eyes get itchy and dry due to that. Most eye drop brands, such as Visine or Systane can indeed combat your symptoms. The problem with these is that they are not natural, and as such can create dependencies where you’ll have to keep using them otherwise you’ll always have the symptoms.
I discovered Similasan online through reading various forums on the topic of dry eyes, since I was tired of always having to rely on drops every day. Similasan is made with natural ingredients, and is considered a homeopathic solution.
When I first started using Similasan I noticed a difference right away. The solution doesn’t shock your eyes in the slightest. The only effect it produced was a relief of the dryness and itchiness. Since using Similasan, I’ve no longer have to use drops daily, and instead, now use it only when I have very tired eyes, or when I have severe allergy symptoms(such as after a good Spring cleaning).
The actual eye dropper is made differently too. It’s a squeezable dropper, so instead of squeezing the bottle, you’re squeezing the tube. The product can be found at any drug store.
I’m definitely not going to go back to using the other non-natural brands of eye drops anymore. Similasan covers pretty much all eye irritation symptoms, such as dry eye, redness of eyes and lids, reflex watering secondary to dry eye, sensation of grittiness, and sensitivity to light.
If you have eye issues, I would sugguest you try this product.

I have a little tip to offer when putting in eye drops. The best way is to pull down your bottom lid slightly, and drop the solution in the ‘sac’ so to speak. This way, you’re not surprising your eyes as much, and it’s much easier to administer by yourself. My Grandfather taught me this tip, and ever since, I’ve always done it this way as it’s much easier.
Do you have glasses or contacts? Just didn’t know if that would make a difference.

I have neither. I’m lucky enough to still see well.
